Start with the perfect homemade pie crust
A few of these pie recipes have a fun cookie crust, but all of my classic pies start with my famous homemade pie crust recipe! It’s deliciously flaky and just requires a handful of simple ingredients. You’ll also need these tools:
- Food processor (my preference) or a pastry cutter
- Rolling pin
- Pie pan
- Pie serving tools
For my “deep dish” pies, you might want to use a springform pan.

My family asks me to bring your pecan pie bars every year because they absolutely love them! They always disappear. This year I’m going to take a shot at your pumpkin pie with homemade crust- a little nervous since I’ve never had the best luck with making pie crust from scratch… fingers crossed!
